For the 5 of you who read this blog, my apologies for not adding for over a month. As I sit at the sound console this morning, I am reminded that any event can have to many chiefs. What I mean by that is everyone has input about what you are doing. The trick is to know who to listen to. Every church has a different way of operating the church service. Some have producers who oversee each piece of the presentation and others fly by the seat of their pants. Our producers do a phenomenal job of making sure that the service starts and stops on time and where and when each element should be placed. If you do have more that one person directing the show, make sure everyone is clear on the chain of command. If you don’t there is always room for misunderstanding, and the potential for hurt feelings. Lay it out in advance and you will be doing yourself a favor.
