I just came home from Saddleback Church‘s first two of fourteen Christmas eve services.

Pictured here are three generations of Saddleback Church FOH main mixers.
Left to right is John Wilson(current main mixer), Van Metschke(me)(main mixer from 1996-2001), and Greg Baker(main mixer from 2001-2006 and now Saddleback’s Technical Director). Also pictured is Saddleback’s new D-Show Profile FOH console.
My dad would be 92 this year. He was part of the “Greatest Generation”, those who labored, toiled, fought, died, and survived World War II. He was a Major in the US Army during the war and he was proud of it, so was I. Today is the 66th anniversary of the attach on Pearl Harbor by the Empire of Japan. We will (God willing) never have to sacrifice like they did for the freedoms we have in the USA.
So here is what I want you to do;
Say a prayer of thanks for the Greatest Generation.
Thank a veteran and those who still serve for their service.
Read the Deceleration of Independence and the Bill of Rights.
Thank God every day if you live in the US and pray for our leaders, even if you don’t like or agree with them.
Don’t complain if you don’t vote.
