Friday, I got back from infoCOMM 2008 in Las Vegas. I met a few old friends like Steve Powers, owner of Powers Audio, Rob McEnteer, Tech Director of The Grove Church, and Bob Blackhurst, President of Stage Gear.

I also spent some time with Brad Weston, President of Renewed Vision. After email back and forth, the Twitter traffic, and sharing the mic (via Skype)on the Faith Tools podcast, it was nice to finally meet him face-to-face.

That all said, I think I am done with trade shows. Why you may ask? Well, other than the fact that I am able to interface with old and new fiends, I really think I can get more information from websites and manufactures reps. Maybe I am right, or maybe it’s just because I have literally been going to trade-shows for the last 20 years and am just plain old burned out on them.

By the way, I did find a great Off-The-Strip hotel in Las Vegas, the Red Rock Resort. It was reasonably priced and was every bit what their website shows and tells. Worth the 20 minute drive to the convention center.
