This morning I heard on the radio that there was a traffic accident on the infamous 91 freeway, here in Southern California. When I got to work Jan Lynn, our Communication Director told me that she passed by it and that she passed by it on her way in. We talked about how fleeting life is and how in an instant, a whole family’s life can change. We also talked about how we should pray for the families and those involved in accidents instead of getting mad and inconvenienced.
Later in the afternoon we learned that the victim of that very accident was, in fact, Christopher Laurie. Christopher was the son of Pastor Greg Laurie, Art Director at Harvest Christian Fellowship, and most importantly, husband to Brittany, and father to Stella and their yet to be born baby due in November.
I have lost family and friend very close to me quickly. There is no way to explain the deep feeling of loss that you experience.
Please pray for the Laurie’s. Greg Laurie has a blog that you can go to and leave your comments if you are so inclined.
