Ten years ago, I registered the domain theSoundbooth.com. It started out as just a link farm for articles and websites that I thought would help church techs, and because I really dislike the way browsers hold bookmarks. Over the years it has morphed into a place that I occasionally put up random thoughts about life in the church production world.
With so many great sites now devoted to church and production, I have been trying to figure out where in this vast landscape this site, from here on out, should sit.
The areas I see as most prevalent across the inter-webs are: GEAR & TOOLS, STAFF & VOLUNTEERS, PROCESS & STRUCTURE, and NEW CONSTRUCTION.
Although all of these areas are very important to me, my real passion is the mental-spiritual-emotional (maybe even physical) health and welfare of Church Tech Directors and Techs.
So the focus of most of my posts from here forward will be in that direction.
I am not, by any means, saying that I have it all together, THAT WOULD BE DUMB. My intent is to share with you what I am finding on my journey to be the best husband, dad, friend, leader, TD, and Christ follower I can be.
I really hope that you will engage in the conversation. You may agree or disagree with my findings. Either way, hopefully, my ramblings will spark you to look at these areas in your life.
There will still be posts regarding all the areas of being a Church TD and Tech, because that is the world I live in, day to day.
